School-Based Identification to Dyslexia: The Very Basics



This training focuses on the implementation of Act 1294 and school-based identification of students with characteristics of dyslexia in Arkansas. It will prepare educators to be informed members of the school-based teams that make decisions regarding the identification of students exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia for placement in dyslexia intervention programs. There will be a review of the current definition of dyslexia; the core principles of dyslexia identification; case studies; and step-by-step procedures for analyzing assessment data.
