CRESC--The Writing Revolution--Grades 6-12--Session 1
The Writing Revolution (TWR) provides a clear method of writing instruction that teachers can use no matter what subject they teach to get students writing. It breaks the writing process down into manageable chunks and then has students practice the chunks within each particular content area. TWR also helps boost reading comprehension, improve organizational and study skills, enhance speaking abilities, and develop analytical capabilities. This session will provide time for teachers to begin planning implementation of TWR strategies in their daily lessons. Two more sessions will follow during the school year.
