Part 2 of 2. Participants will each receive PLT’s Southeastern Forests and Climate Change guide. This module uses examples from southeastern forests to teach about climate change impacts on forest ecosystems, the roles forests play in carbon sequestration, and strategies for reducing CO2 emissions and adapting to changing climatic conditions.
Activities contain teacher background information and instructions, student handouts, extension and assessment ideas, and additional resources.
As with all PLT curriculum, PLT teaches students HOW to think, not WHAT to think about complex environmental issues.
