AFESC-Why Schools Should Go to the Dogs

Are you looking for a way to enhance the well being of students, staff, and families? Adding a four legged faithful furry friend to your staff might be the answer you are looking for! This half day experience will be focused on the journey to obtaining and maintaining a school culture with an educational assistance dog. Come learn along with Archie, our Emotional Support Specialist and Service Dog in Training! He serves as a model for educator wellness and for schools that are ready to go to the dogs. You will learn about the importance of training, a dog handler, care, and finances associated with a service dog school, along with a timeline for full implementation into your school's culture.
