AFESC-(Online) Advanced Cybersecurity - High School CS Professional Development

Note: Individuals selected for the Academy will be given priority, any remaining seats will be given to individuals registered through escWorks. The escWorks registration will serve as a waiting list. The zoom link will be sent to your email address as listed in escWorks. This 5-day workshop is for educators who hold the 528 Computer Science Teacher Certification, 5014 or 5016 Computer Science Approval Code, or have completed the 30-hr ADE approved professional development. It is recommended, but not required, that the intermediate training be completed before participating in the advanced level training. This PD session is an adaptation of previous years where some of the more intermediate concepts have been pushed down to the intermediate PD. This means there is more time dedicated to the labs and activities at the advanced level. Of course, there will be some overlap in content but look at those moments as an opportunity to reinforce what you’ve already seen. Participants will be introduced to security concepts as well as methods to help teach those concepts. Topics covered will include, but are not limited to, Hacker Methodologies, Ethics and Legal considerations, Digital Forensics and Incident Response, Introduction to Network Forensics, and Writing Malware. We’ll leverage several online platforms and resources that you can take back to the classroom and deploy almost immediately. If you want to get something out of this PD, you will. There is something for everyone of all skill levels. Here you will find a series of tutorials to help get you comfortable with cybersecurity and networking concepts and topics. -> Evergreen - Advanced Cyber and Networking Pregame Resources
