CABOT: Autism Characteristics and Interventions
This presentation will start by defining Autism Spectrum Disorder and identifying common characteristics. We will discuss how Autism may present in the classroom and ways in which teachers and staff can respond. There will be a more in-depth discussion around common classroom intervention strategies and modifications that can be utilized with these students. We will also cover the referral process and overall Special Education eligibility for the Autism disability category.
