Days 1 & 2 of Conscious Discipline for novice teachers and their mentors: Conscious Discipline is a trauma-informed, evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL) program that integrates discipline, school culture, and SEL into one seamless process. It’s not a kit that you have to cram into an already packed schedule. Instead, Conscious Discipline empowers you to teach SEL skills through everyday interactions. At this workshop, you’ll learn evidence-based strategies for creating an optimal school environment, plus get immediately usable tools to remain calm during moments of chaos. Actionable practices and methodologies that reduce discipline referrals, boost academic outcomes and increase parent satisfaction. All presenter fees and lunch will be covered for novice/mentor teacher participants by the Recruitment and Retention grant.
