CABOT: Pre-Conference- Working with Trauma in K-12 Students ADMIN and Counselors ONLY
Katie's specialties are trauma and kids.
Her 3 hour presentation is
an overview of how the brain works, what trauma does to the brain (IE- that includes the pandemic), what those behaviors looks like & how they present, and then the best way to engage with those kiddos to help them regulate faster and more efficiently. Teaching this and applying this method is actually a way to help change the chemical makeup of the brain and therefore would help with resiliency as well.
