CRESC--Using Fiction and NonFiction Books to Enhance Investigations in the Science Classroom
Science investigations alone will not promote student comprehension. In science, students need to be able to read about, talk about, write about, touch, see, smell, hear and taste science in order to fully comprehend and remember the content.
In this workshop, educators will participate in investigations, read corresponding books, and discuss strategies for using the books in the science classroom. Some of the lessons presented will be from Steve Spangler, Picture Perfect Science, and Picture-Perfect Science STEM.
