LHPS: Curriculum Alignment
The activity teachers from the Primary including Stephanie Smith (music), Rachel Huggs (computer), Halie Brakefield (library), Laurie Jordan (PE), and Samantha Stallman (art) will meet to examine kindergarten and first grade curriculum focusing mainly on smart goals. We will use these smart goals to better align our curriculum with the classroom teachers. Because the smart goals are changing constantly due to the diverse population of children, we need to make sure our plans also reflect and correlate with the classroom teachers. From this meeting, we hope to update our individual curriculum as appropriate and dive deeper into specific aspects of our teaching in order to assist classroom teachers in meeting their smart goals more efficiently.
