All Year 1 NT’S will participate in a (6) hour training focused on Classroom Management and Monica Genta’s book “The Rooted Classroom.” In the morning, Mark McLeod will provide the NT’s with strategies for classroom management, effective instruction, and student motivation. In the afternoon, Monica Genta will provide the NT’s with information on the importance of building relationships, communication, and will provide them with strategies and successes of what schools can look like when the focus is securing rooted relationships with staff, students, and parents. NTs will be provided the book The Rooted Classroom by Monica Genta. NT’s will be provided with classroom management resources and supplies that pertain to this training.
