OUR Blending Social and Emotional Learning into the Classroom
The social and emotional health of our students and educators has become of paramount importance during the past several years. The skills required for building and strengthening relationships, making good decisions, showing empathy for others, and regulating emotions are needed now more than ever. How do we teach these skills that not only are beneficial now, but are also influential for the future? How do we find the time? What are simple practices we can implement today? This training will review the core social and emotional competencies and will explore strategies for embedding them into our day-to-day interactions with students. We will also review and practice SEL lessons that could be implemented by classroom teachers or school counselors.
