Embedding Literacy into CTE
Teachers will collaborate to integrate relevant literacy concepts and skills into CTE lessons that will help students deepen understanding and transfer skills across academic and technical disciplines and career fields (Academic Integration). They will identify opportunities to integrate academic content and/or the use of scaffolded texts to support reading technical materials and create mini-lessons or skill-building that address how academic skills are used in the career field.
