ARESC-Paraprofessional Training -Special Health Care Needs Training PART 1 (Part 2 provided by District RN)



The purpose of this training provides paraprofessionals with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities, job description, legal and ethical requirements, and the basics of how to work with students with disabilities. In addition, laws and rulings that have impacted the students will be covered. This training is adopted by the Arkansas Department of Education and is a requirement for paraprofessionals who are assigned to work with special education students. This training is the first module of the paraprofessional modules. Important Session Information: **DISCLAIMER: Registered participants who do not attend and fail to cancel their registration shall be held liable for the registration fee if one is applicable to this workshop. If you cannot attend this workshop you will have to cancel on-line two (2) days prior to the workshop date. Any cancellations later than two (2) days prior will have to be called in to the Coop by 2:00 p.m. the day before the workshop**

Participants not under contract with ARESC's Member districts will be charged a fee of $25 per day, or $15 per half day.
