This quarterly meeting of Arch Ford ESC area Homeless Liaisons will provide an overview of how homelessness is defined federally, the services that the McKinney-Vento Law includes, and best practices for districts and communities to improve the identification of students and families that experience homelessness. As a state, Arkansas has been severely under-identified when it comes to students and families who are experiencing homelessness. If the students are not identified, they cannot receive the services that they are entitled to. We will have guest speakers from community outreach resources, DESE, and more.
