GFESC Tonal Solfege in the Elementary Classroom (3 hours)
Sol-fa, Solfege and Curwen Hand Signs are not just for the secondary school choir. How to incorporate tonal syllables into the average elementary classroom to increase your students’ ability to sing in tune and understand tonal relationships. Sometime will be devoted to acculturation and exploration in tonalities outside of traditional Major and Harmonic Minor. If you want to increase your own ability to hear and sing in new tonalities, as well as share these skills with your students, this workshop is for you.
