SCSC-Arkansas's New Assessment System

This session will center around Arkansas's new assessment system. Attendees will learn about Arkansas' Assessment Theory of Action, test design and blueprint, and types of assessment and use of data. Cambium, the new state test vendor, will also present about the portal. The new system will have summative test, optional interim tests, and optional classroom assessment building capabilities. This training is optimal for a district team (up to three people) that can come and learn about the system and make a plan to take it back to the district to share, somewhat of a TOT model. Ideally this team would consist of C&I Director, building curriculum leaders, district/building testing coordinators, and/or lead teachers. Districts should decide on their team and register individually. Please Note: "Due to seating capacity, each South Central district can register a maximum of 5 people."

Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
