NWAESC(2095)...Integrating the Visual Arts for Critical Thinking & Student Engagement
Looking for ways to get your students engaged next year? Explore the visual arts and the powerful ways art can spark critical thinking in your classroom. We will discuss how the arts can provide strategies for culturally responsive and inclusive learning as well as deepen and extend learning across content areas. This session is designed to give teachers strategies for student engagement as well as spark teacher creativity in lesson design using art. Content is particularly relevant for middle and high school teachers in ELA and Social Studies. Teachers will come away with materials they can implement immediately in their classrooms this Fall and have fun doing it!
