NAESC - Arkansas's New Assessment System
Attendees will learn about Arkansas's Assessment Theory of Action, test design and blueprint, and types of assessment and use of data. Cambium, the new state test vendor, will also present the portal. The new system will have a summative test, optional interim tests, and optional classroom assessment-building capabilities. This training is optimal for a district team (up to five people) that can come and learn about the system and make a plan to take it back to the district to share, somewhat of a TOT model. Ideally, this team would consist of C&I Director, building curriculum leaders, district/building testing coordinators, and/or lead teachers. Districts should decide on their team and register individually.
