WDMESC: FINS (Fishing in the Natural State)
Description: The FINS- Fishing In the Natural State is an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission program that's primary focus is to introduce fishing to 4th-12th grade students. After completing the 6 hour PD and returning a filled application, the educator will receive a curriculum containing 8 Units and an educator's kit to assist with teaching the lessons. The curriculum covers subjects such as Fish ID, Fish Anatomy, Aquatic Habitats, and Human Impact through Science, Math, Art, Language Arts, and Physical Education. Certified teachers will be eligible to host fishing derbies.
