GFESC SoR Stand Alone Content Based Morphology



Content-Based Morphology is a six-hour professional development that focuses on how morphology helps students access information in reading across the content areas. An examination of the six syllable types and the knowledge of Greek and Latin influences in words helps students to be successful readers. Strategies for the classroom to ensure that all students are readers in every content area will be explored. This training aligns with Pathway D and Pathway U from the ADE Science of Reading list of Prescribed Pathways for Proficiency (http://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/).
