Active Learning Strategies for Classroom Management
Everyone knows students learn more when they're having fun and actively-engaged, but what about the ensuing chaos? In this workshop, teachers will learn how to fold active learning strategies into their daily routines form the start of the year so it becomes woven into the very texture of their classroom. Teachers will learn how to facilitate students in enjoyable and meaningful experiences while simultaneously maintaining a calm and controlled classroom. Led by veteran teacher, teaching artist, and active learning consultant April Gentry-Sutterfield, this workshop will remind you of the value of getting students off screens, on their feet, and interacting with each other and you!
Important Session Information:
A $100 FEE WILL BE DUE ON THE DAY OF THE TRAINING IF NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE DMESC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM.
