NWAESC(CS)-Intermediate Data Science - High School CS Professional Development**ZOOM**

This 3-day workshop is for those who hold the 528 Computer Science Teacher Certification, 5014 or 5016 Computer Science Approval Code, or have completed the 30-hr ADE approved professional development. This workshop aligns with the year 2 curriculum standards for data science. Lectures and demonstrations will introduce participants to the basics of the field and help to demystify the process of transforming data into intelligence. Over the course of the workshop, participants will receive an overview of the profession, its social impact and ethics, and the current “state of the art.” Participants will have the opportunity to interact with several popular data science tools as we break down the data science process from planning and data prep to model evaluation and visualization. If you would like to extend your knowledge further, we encourage you to also consider joining us for the Advanced Data Science training, which is scheduled for launch in summer 2023.
