SE Defensible Differentiation: What and How Teachers Meet the Needs of All Learners

How do effective teachers address the needs of all their learners and meet required standards? Quality differentiation is an approach to teaching that provides teachers with important knowledge, understanding, and skill they can use to plan not only what they teach but how they teach to have maximum impact on who they teach. This session shares the big ideas of differentiation and how each can be implemented in the classroom. The presenter discusses how teachers attend to the learning environment, quality curriculum, assessment, instructional strategies, and leading and managing a classroom to maximize their students’ learning. Examples of differentiated lessons from different grade levels and subject areas offer teachers several ideas they can use to meet the needs of their students.
