SCSC-Visuals, Routines and Oral Language for Students with Complex Learning Needs



In partnership with Arkansas R.I.S.E. experts, Easterseals has created the first in a series of trainings to support special educators of students with complex learning needs as they work toward proficiency in implementing the Science of Reading. This session focuses on explicit instruction to support Oral Language skills. Participants will gain a variety of strategies on the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication and visual supports to engage all students in oral language routines.

TESS components addressed include: 1A, 1E, 3A, 3C, 3D

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been 

waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
