NWAESC(2095)-How can you know what students really know in science? Using assessment purposefully in a science classroom, Grades 6-8 and High School.
This professional learning session engage science teachers in grades 6-8 and high school in rethinking assessments as a system designed to support student learning. From the classroom level formative assessment to the new statewide summative assessment, how should teachers utilize data? Teachers will learn to elevate current assessments and examine examples of strong assessment items. Additionally, time will be spent helping teachers understand how to prepare students for the assessment system that is replacing ACT Aspire.
