SCSC-K-2: Shifting Small Group Instruction to Match the Science of Reading (2 Day Training)

In this TWO-DAY training, K-2 R.I.S.E. participants that have completed Days 1-6, will dive into the "ins and outs" of small group instruction based on the science of reading in grades K-2. We will look at essential assessments being used in the science of reading that can simplify the process of forming groups based on deficit skills. Additionally, we will focus on the progression of skills students need to become proficient readers from K-2 and what these look like in the classroom. Participants will walk away with practical plans on how to effectively create groups and differentiate small group instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
