DSC Aquatic WILD at Lake DeGray

Water in all its forms is one of the most dramatic of today's arenas in which informed, responsible, and constructive actions are needed. Aquatic WILD uses the simple, successful format of Project WILD activities and professional training workshops but with an emphasis on aquatic wildlife and aquatic ecology. Educators attending will receive two activity guides with more than 150 activities matching state and national standards for Kindergarten through 12th grade programs. Teachers will go on a 3/4 mile hike, take a boat cruise on Lake DeGray and enjoy a complimentary lunch at a pavilion on the water. Instruction is given by Arkansas's own Project WILD Director Sheila Lovelady-Connerly! Project Aquatic WILD activities are written by teachers, school administrators, wildlife professionals and environmental experts for accuracy and educational value. Each lesson plan is tested in real classrooms to ensure effectiveness and high quality student involvement.
