SCSC-ACT Prep for Math/Science Teachers



Sarah Cantrell is a certified teachers and gifted and talented specialist with decades of classroom experience.  Today, she works as curriculum developer with Cantrell and Waller Preparatory Services and consult with school districts across the country, developing personalized solutions to increase student ACT scores and admittance to post-secondary institutions.
Join us as we take a deep-dive into each section of the ACT, during which we'll cover the following topics: Rethinking the ACT as an Assessment/Test Prep Philosophy, Understanding Benchmark, Understanding how the test is scored, Understanding the need for strategy and targeted content instruction, Overview of best practices for strategic test taking (to be implemented in all classrooms), Score-Specific Strategies, Understanding how to use free, released ACTs for best practice in the classroom,

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
