AFESC-Inclusive Practices in the Science Classroom

As a former special education, elementary STEM classroom teacher and Pre AP middle level teacher, Sharon has experience in teaching students with a variety of ability levels. She will share her experiences and research into best practices in a practical way to support you in including all students into your science classroom. This session will utilize "Yes We Can" by Friziellie, Schmidt, and Spiller, and draw from supporting experiences with districts who have been implementing full inclusion. There will be time for teacher to network and share their practices for inclusion in the science classroom.

This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for the following levels of instruction:

Tier 1, Tier 2
