OUR Using Phenomenon to Teach Science Units

This workshop introduces K-12 teachers to the role of phenomena in equitable, three-dimensional science instruction. Phenomena can be used to spark engagement and support the development of student-driven questions. After unpacking standards to determine essential learning targets, participants will use Science and Engineering Practices and Cross-Cutting Concepts to fully engage students in scientific discovery aligned to Disciplinary Core Ideas.
