WDMESC: Teaching Geometric Concepts for Understanding, Engagement, and Fluency
Come participate in learning activities that progress through geometric concepts from 5th grade through HS Geometry (based on research referenced in Geometry Learning Progression documents). Use of different geometric tools (patty paper, compass, straightedge, dynamic Geometry software, etc.) will be used during the day. Knowledge of concepts at each grade level and how they build will be useful for teachers to make connections to upcoming concepts. build new concepts from previous understandings, teach for deeper understanding and fluency, and have ideas that can be used in RTI.
