SCSC-Due Process Mess!
The first thing many educators say when someone suggests becoming a special education teacher is...”Oh NO! I could never handle all of that paperwork!” New special education teachers and even some of the veterans often find themselves inundated with the due process paperwork portion of their role to the extent that they feel they
cannot be the teacher they want to be for their students. Finding the balance and having the tools to put the paperwork portion of your job in its “place” is the focus of this session. Resources will be shared with all participants. TESS: 4b, 1d, 1c
Important Session Information:
For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
