Economic Exploration at Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center (In Person- Piggott, AR)

Sensational stories await us at the second stop on the Arkansas Delta’s Economic Heritage Summer Tour!  At the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum you will not only see the barn where Ernest Hemingway wrote a portion of A Farewell to Arms, but you will learn the role Paul and Mary Pfeiffer played in the creation of the farming community in Piggott.
Shannon Williams, Site Director, will give us a guided tour and share many great resources.  The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Writer-in-Residence will join us to share their writing process and current project. Terra Aquia, K12 Programs Coordinator at the Arkansas Center for Research in Economics at the University of Central Arkansas and Jeannette Bennett, Senior Economic Education Specialist from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, will help us make the economic connections related to this historical treasure of the Arkansas Delta.
This project is made possible by a grant from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
