In this session we will extend our current definition of fluency by investigating what computational and fact fluency is, how it relates to automaticity, and what’s the best way to help our students develop it. Teachers will leave with strategies and routines that help develop fluency and a stronger understanding of what fluency looks like at their grade level. We will also briefly look at some screeners, assessments, and intervention programs available for teachers to use with their students.
This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for the following levels of instruction:
Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3
