DSC Engineering is Elementary: Paulo's Parachute Mission (cancelled)
EPSCoR Funded Event: Engineering in the Elementary Classroom comes alive with Paulo's Parachute Mission. It is a story of a Brazilian boy and his adventures. 3rd-5th grade Science Educators will take home authentic challenges to use in their classrooms. Each participant keeps a Paulo's Parachute Mission Storybook and Try-It Kit. Paulo's story uses aerospace engineering to lead students to discover Earth & Space core ideas. Teachers will take on the role of a student and experiment with parachute designs. Information will be given on how to connect with real world experiences by taking your class to Arkansas Starbase for a free week-5th grade only. Lunch on your own.
