With the move toward more inclusive practices in Arkansas schools, School Based Speech Langauge Pathologists may find themselves in new and evolving roles. This session will provide a collaborative opportunity to explore the various roles the speech-language pathologist might play in school-based therapy along with ways to rethink service delivery models. Data collection outside of the typical therapy session will be reviewed as well as service delivery time on the IEP. Practical tools, strategies, and resources will be provided to guide participants as they begin to develop new ways to address the needs of their students in more inclusive settings. This will be a facilitated collaborative session. Participants are encouraged to bring current caseloads along with questions involving the changing role of the school-based speech language pathologist and service delivery.
This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for Tier II and Tier III.
