This groundbreaking course from the National Council for Behavioral Health gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary. This in-person course prepares adults to help youth ages 12-18.
This course meets the PD requirements for teen suicide awareness and prevention for Arkansas Educators.
Important Session Information:
A minimum of 5 people is required for the session to be held. This course is in-person at Northeast Arkansas Educational Services Cooperative. Participants must complete the online prework to attend the in-person session and receive credit for the course.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an international program listed in the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP).
*Participation for the entirety of the course is required to receive certification.
