SWAEC- Mentoring: Year 1 Ready (REQUIRED for ALL first year novice teachers) REPEAT SESSION
Welcome new teachers! This session is designed to provide you with the tools and information you need to succeed as an educator. We will cover the essential aspects of being part of the SWAEC Mentoring program and help you establish a strong foundation for your career by connecting you to resources for classroom management, lesson planning, and much more. As a novice teacher, you will also learn how to identify opportunities for professional growth, setting goals, and pursuing growth through the career continuum. This required training will also allow you to connect with other new teachers, share experiences and ask questions. By the end of your time in the SWAEC mentoring program, you will have a deeper understanding of the essential components of teaching and feel better prepared to create a positive and effective learning environment for your students.
