AFESC-Love Your Brain: Movement with a Reason to support Students with Traumatic Brain Injuries



Join Joanna as she shows you how to develop and offer techniques for adapting movements, brain breaks, and breathing practices to support the Traumatic Brain Injury and Acquired Brain Injury community. Learn proven teaching strategies and classroom techniques that encourage ALL students with or without traumatic brain injury (TBI) -including concussion- be successful in school. Joanna will demonstrate specific ways to allow the participants to practice teaching the movement activities. Educators of all grades will benefit from the interactive Love Your Brain training. Joanna will focus on bringing awareness and education to empower students to return to learn after a mild, moderate, or severe brain injury. Participants wear comfortable clothes, bring a mat or towel, and please don’t forget the water bottle. Love Your Brain Facilitator Certified. This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for the following levels of instruction:

Tier 1, 2, 3

Current educators in Arch Ford PD Consortium districts may attend the session for free.  All others will be required to pay the session fee on the day of the session. Arch Ford educators receive priority for seats in a session.
