AFESC-Differentiation in Tier 1 Elementary Math Instruction

In this session, we will take a look at the three essential elements that support differentiation in the math classroom: content, process, and product. We will examine each element and its impact on learning for different students and how we can implement what we learn about these elements in our own classroom. During this session, we will also pull in specific strategies, such as cooperative learning structures, instructional routines, and questioning that support differentiation and improve tier 1 instruction in the elementary math classroom. This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for the following levels of instruction:

Tier 1, Tier 2
