GFESC WRITING MATTERS IN ALL CLASSES: A WORKSHOP FOR SECONDARY EDUCATORS
New standards call for students to be competent writers in all disciplines, and writing is proven to enhance critical thinking. In order for students to meet the demands of the standards, they must be provided with writing instruction that includes three core instructional components: writing-to-learn, process writing, and writing-on-demand (writing for tests). This seminar will give educators ideas for how to ensure they are addressing these components and will offer practical, time-saving ideas for increasing the amount of writing students do across the curriculum.
