Cognitive Coaching is a research-based coaching model that capitalizes upon and enhances teachers’ cognitive processes.
In the eight-day Cognitive Coaching seminar participants learn how to; build trust by developing rapport, utilize three mediative maps for planning, reflecting and problem resolving, and develop teacher efficacy.
Each 2-day session equals 12 hours of credit. Day 1 must be attended before Day 2. Full participation, including all practice sessions and the afternoon performance assessment, is required. Space is limited to 40 participants and participants should ensure they are available the full day before registering. Days 3-8, which lead to certification as a Cognitive Coach, will be offered during the 2025-26 school year and registration will be available through ESCWorks.
Important Session Information: There will be a $50 fee for everyone to cover the cost of the books for this session.
Participants not employed within the NEA Education Cooperatives 14 districts will have a $75 (includes book) fee for the first day and $25 for the second day.
