SCSC -“AI 101: Laying the Foundation for Educational Innovation”
Day 1: “AI 101: Laying the Foundation for Educational Innovation”
Outcomes:
1. Understand the basics of AI and how chatbots are changing the landscape of teaching and
learning
2. Learn how to effectively prompt a chatbot as well as effectively use prompt libraries for a
variety of educational purposes
3. Explore how educational institutions are addressing concerns around privacy and ethical use of
AI tools
4. Create and test AI-generated lesson plans and educational materials using one or more LLM-
powered chatbots
Important Session Information:
For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. If you are not part of the SCSC PD Consortium, you may be charged a minimum of $20 per day for any training even if the fee listed is zero. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
