Arkansas A+ invites educators to explore the intersections of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics through
hands-on, creative experiences rooted in the concept of balance. Participants will explore balance in many forms like stacking, building, moving, and
creating while learning how to help students connect these playful investigations to bigger ideas about problem-solving, design, and creativity.
Through arts-based strategies that make abstract concepts concrete, participants will discover new ways to encourage critical thinking, spark curiosity, and
support deeper understanding. Participants will walk away with practical tools and ready-to-use lesson ideas that bring STEAM learning to life.
This workshop highlights the importance of balance—within disciplines, within the creative process, and within the classroom itself. It is designed for K-6
educators, but is open to educators of all grade levels and content areas.
Come ready to create, collaborate, and reimagine what a balanced approach to STEAM can look like for your students!
