WDMESC: Building & Sustaining High-Quality Pre-Educator Programs

This session supports current and future Pre-Educator instructors in strengthening program design, delivery, and recruitment. Participants will receive an overview of ASU-Beebe concurrent credit, including teacher mentor support, student eligibility requirements, and key policies. The session will also highlight strategies for promoting program size, scope, and quality, increasing non-traditional enrollment through “Locker Room Talk: Boys in Education,” and aligning instruction with CTA certification and CTSO participation (FCCLA/Educators Rising).

Additional focus areas include effective use of field experiences, a review of Pre-Educator standards, and sample lessons that can be adapted across districts. Participants will leave with practical tools to build sustainable, high-impact Pre-Educator programs aligned to postsecondary and workforce expectations.
