NWAESC(2095)-Using Science Notebooks to Make Student Thinking Visible
Science notebooks are one of the greatest tools to make student thinking visible and to integrate science, literacy and math in the science classroom. Join this fun and engaging hands-on session with Presidential Award Winner Cheri DeSoto and the Co-op's Science Specialist that will focus on how to use science notebooks to get students discussing, writing, collecting evidence, and using data to make sense of their learning in authentic ways. Participants will leave this session with a wealth of resources to successfully implement science notebooks in their classrooms! Note: While any science teacher can benefit from this session, it's designed for teachers in grades 2-8. However, ALL students benefit from science notebooks.
