GREC - Planning a Literacy Block that Meets Requirements for Third-Grade Promotion (Grades 3 and 4)
This six hour professional learning experience will explore what a grade 3 or 4 literacy block should include to ensure core + more for students who have been retained or promoted with a good cause exemption. We will explore data driven decision making, whole group instruction, small group and partner reading, gradual release of responsibility, focused skill instruction, word study, oral language development, and daily writing.
