SCSC - Morphology



This session will explore the critical role of morphology in literacy development, highlighting how it supports encoding, decoding, vocabulary and comprehension. Participants will analyze the relationship between morphology and etymology in word structure and gain practical strategies for effective word study instruction. This session will equip educators with the knowledge and tools to teach morphological concepts in a way that enhances student learning and language proficiency. TESS components addressed include: 1A, 1D, 1E

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. If you are not part of the SCSC PD Consortium, you may be charged a minimum of $40 per day for any training even if the fee listed is zero.  Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
