SCSC - School Based Identification of Dyslexia in Grades 3-12



This session is designed to provide an overview of the updates on the legislation, rules, and the screening process for characteristics of dyslexia. In this session, we will examine the current definition of dyslexia, the core principles of dyslexia identification, case studies, and step-by-step procedures for analyzing assessment data. This course will prepare educators to be informed members of the school-based teams making decisions regarding the identification of students exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia for placement in dyslexia intervention programs. TESS components addressed include: 1B, 4B, 4F

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. If you are not part of the SCSC PD Consortium, you may be charged a minimum of $40 per day for any training even if the fee listed is zero.  Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
